How to Sign Up for "A Lighter Way" Online Weight Loss Program

We are moving along with Dr. Tak Poon's online weight management program:  A Lighter Way.    We are delighted that so many readers are interested in this holistic approach to weight management.  But many are still asking: 

"How do I sign up?" 

"How can I know when each new step is available?"

"Why do I have to wait for all the steps?"

Here are the answers!

 
  • The Lighter Way on MyLifeStages is an online program, designed for you to follow at home.  
  • All steps of the program are available on the Healthy Living blog on the MyLifeStages site. Even if you discover the program after it began, each post has links to all previous entries, so you can go back and  follow it from the beginning.
  • If you want to be notified each time a new blog post is added to the Healthy Living blog, you can sign up for an RSS feed or an email notification.   Look at the very top of the blog page, under the main heading Healthy Living Blog for the "subscribe" links.
  • You will need to be, or become, a member of MyLifeStages to receive e-mail notifications (that's how we know your email address)  Once you are a member, simply sign in, click the subscribe link at the top of the blog, and you will begin to receive notifications.
  • Note that you will receive notifications of all Healthy Living blog posts - timely health information on a variety of topics.  The Lighter Way posts will occur every two weeks.
  • Why do you have to wait two weeks between steps?  Dr. Poon answers that important question below:

"We prefer to introduce the program in pieces. Several years ago we tried accelerating our program to eight weeks and it did not work nearly as well. Since it is 'No, not another diet…'  but instead a body-mind-spirit lifestyle journey to health and wellness, our 10-year experience has shown that it takes people about three months of weekly try-out to really get it; four months for it to sink in; and six months to own it."

So, follow the program patiently to ensure success.
